The blank is where this one earns its keep. 400 gsm, 100% cotton French terry — no polyester, no brushed nap. Unbrushed terry holds its structure instead of collapsing, so the sleeves stack, the hood stands up on its own, and the garment keeps its silhouette instead of relaxing into shapelessness by month three. It also pills far less than brushed fleece, which is what most hoodies at this weight actually are.

It's heavy in the hand. That's the point.

A note on heavy cotton: pure cotton at this weight is softer and more breathable than a blend, but it's also less forgiving of heat. High-heat drying is what shrinks it. Wash cold, dry low or hang it, and it'll hold its shape for years.
